and Goddess Durka are the main forms of the God that
manifest themselves in the era of Kali Yuga. SAKTI means
energy. Hindus symbolize the energy as female and
activation of energy as male. The main form of Hindu
worshipping image is LINGA which has male and female
parts within it. The ARTHA- NAREESWARA, another form
of worshipping image, also has Shiva and Sakti equally
placed within it. Goddess Sridurka is Sakti and the

Sridurka Hindu Temple is
built according to Saiva and Sakti agamas. All the
relevant VASTHU rules are adhered to and
appropriate Agamic regulations are implemented.

WITH POWERFUL RITUALS (33 HOMA KUNDA UTTHAMA
KUMBABISEKAM)
On
July 2, 2001, Hindus in North America had the
chance of participating and experiencing the spiritual
exclusive feeling in the first ever MAHA
KUMBABISEKAM (Consecration Ceremony) performed
with "Thirty three Homa Kunda Yagas" by more
than fifty Hindu priests from all over the world. It
happened in TORONTO SRIDURKA HINDU
TEMPLE. This is the first temple which was
consecrated with this kind of great ritual, in a
country outside India & Sri Lanka
TEMPLE ENERGIZED
WITH NINETY MILLION ARCHANAS
This is the second
temple in the world, that has been energized with the
ritual of chanting the Goddess mantras for
ninety million times continuously for three years.
This special ceremony have started on September 26,
2003 and expected to finish in the summer of 2006.

ROLE IN SPIRITUAL AWARENESS IN CANADA
TORONTO SRIDURKA HINDU TEMPLE has already initiated
it's plans to build a Hindu School and a Research
Unit, in association with CANADA HINDU MATHA PEEDAM
which gradually becomes a leading dedicated
institution for Hindus in North America. The vital part
of the temples towards the global awareness of Hinduism,
is being realized and this temple is playing a crucial
role in Canada.
