Current Temple Development Projects

- Renovation and replacement of damaged granite flooring
- Completion of the ornate Raja Gopuram sculptures

Project : Renovation and replacement of damaged granite flooring
Dear Devotees,
​
Our vision to construct a magnificent Hindu Temple for almighty Goddess DurgaMa in Toronto, Canada began in 1994. With the generosity of Devotees like you, a great home for our Mother Durga has emerged in the midst of Toronto. We recently had our second consecration (Kumbabisegam) on June 18th, 2023. Sri Durka Hindu Temple has become the nucleus for all origins of Devotees to observe their religious and spiritual practice of Hinduism.

However, Our Temple construction is far from being fully complete. The current granite floor is severely damaged, scratched, and needs immediate attention. It has become an annoyance and disturbance to our devotees. Many of you have already contributed one or few square meters of the floor. Within the last two years we were able to fundraise only fraction portion of the cost of the new flooring project. We wish to complete this project by 2026.
